Most fresh brands don’t. Someone else makes the food. Sometimes, someone else even ships it. We get it — this is hard to do.
We formulate, cook, test, pack, and ship every meal ourselves from our own Miami facility. It’s how we make diets other fresh brands can’t.
What is Wynwood?
Wynwood began as an industrial warehouse district in Miami before it became a neighborhood of artists, studios, and independent businesses. It is known for creativity and for making things by hand.
It has been our home since October 2015.

Two guys who opened a dog food kitchen.
We started Wynwood in 2015 with 1,750 sq.ft, a walk-in cooler, and a couple ovens. We just wanted to make the best dog food possible using only whole food ingredients.
Over ten years and millions of meals delivered, that mission hasn’t changed.

“My goal is to ensure every Wynwood diet is nutritionally complete, thoughtfully formulated, and scientifically balanced to support optimal, long-term canine health.”
Dr. Laura oversees every Wynwood recipe, from our Complete & Balanced diets to the full Fresh Rx® line. She monitors quality by routinely reviewing food test results and updating formulations, while also working directly with our veterinary partners.

We formulate it
Every recipe is formulated by a board-certified veterinary nutritionist and a PhD animal nutritionist. We choose every ingredient for what it does, not what it costs.

We source it
We source 38 whole food ingredients from the same trusted suppliers used across the human food industry.

We cook it
We cook every batch ourselves in Miami, cooking each ingredient separately at the right time and temperature, never in one large kettle.

We test it
Before any food leaves our facility, every batch is tested for macro- and micronutrients and screened for pathogens.

We ship it
We pack every order frozen with dry ice and ship it directly from our freezer to your door. No distributor or unnecessary stops in between.
