Compare dog food. Properly.
The percentages on pet food labels do not mean the same thing. Water changes them. Calories change them. A guaranteed analysis is a promise, not a measurement. Enter the label. See what the numbers actually mean.
Start with a photo
Take a photo of the guaranteed analysis. Add a second photo if the calories are printed somewhere else. We’ll read the label and fill in what we can. Check the numbers before you use them.
What are we comparing?
Brand and product name are just for your notes. Food type matters. Kibble, canned, fresh and raw foods do not land the same distance from their label guarantees, so we use the type to estimate a more realistic range.
Choose the closest match. It changes the estimated range, not the numbers you entered from the label.
Calories
Find the calorie statement on the label. It may be listed per kilogram, cup, can, pouch or package. If the calories are listed per cup, can, pouch or package, tell us what that amount weighs.
What the label guarantees
Copy the guaranteed analysis exactly as printed. Protein and fat are minimums. Fiber and moisture are maximums. These are guarantees, not measurements.
Saved foods
Save this food, then add another to compare them side by side.
Side by side
Compare it to Wynwood
Choose one of our diets to add it to the comparison. Wynwood numbers are tested nutrient values, not estimates from a guaranteed analysis. We mark them separately so you know exactly what you are looking at.
